Time For More Reading

After graduation I have taken some precious time to visit family in San Diego, went to Disneyland (first-timer, so I had tons fun). I also had time to organize my living area, clean out my closet, rearrange furniture, frames, etc. I recently have got involved with volunteering for a friend’s school board district campaign, bringing forth my communications expertise to the table. Of course, I have been busy with my painting service, very happy to see our company service grow and attain new customers. I have been trying to get more involved with public speaking at events, excited about speaking at several community events this spring and throughout the year. When the weather has been nice, yes, I still go for my long runs outdoors! Besides all of the wonderful things that are occurring in my life, I have a strong urge to do more book reading. In the words of Kevin O’ Leary, “stop the madness!” I know… I know, you all must think that after reading tons of educational books from schooling I have had enough! Well, I never actually remember the time I spent personal time reading a book I actually wanted to read. After all, most of the educational books I read at UNT only satisfied my need to pass a subject course. Now, I want to read books that I like, help me improve with communication skills, gain experience, and books that are tools for business, self-help, creativity and development. I look forward to keep up on this new idea, to do more reading, and share what I’ve learned. Happy to be back to blogging… I promise to write more! Reading makes better writers.
